How to Pay Your Personal Taxes

  • How Much Do I Owe?

    The amount of taxes owing is shown in the cover letter that accompanies your tax return, as well as on the Remittance Form provided with your personal tax return.

    If there is a penalty or interest owing, this will be reflected on your Remittance Form.

  • Personal Taxes Owing at End of Year

    Personal Taxes are due by April 30 of each year.

    You can pay your personal taxes to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) through your CRA My Account or through your financial institution's online banking app or website. 

    Alternatively, you can use the Remittance Form provided to mail payment by cheque to the Canada Revenue Agency or to make the payment at your bank. Make sure to obtain a receipt for payment, if paying at your bank.

    Please note that payments greater than $10,000 may be subject to a penalty if paid by cheque.

  • Personal Tax Installments

    Personal Tax Installments are due quarterly, and the details can be found in our cover letter that accompanies your tax return, or from the installment reminders mail from the Canada Revenue Agency sent to you in February and August.

    You can pay your personal tax installments to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) through your CRA My Account or through your financial institution's online banking app or website.

    Alternatively, you can mail payment by cheque to the Canada Revenue Agency or make a payment at your bank. Make sure to obtain a receipt for payment, if paying at your bank.
